Trip To the Blue Ridge Parkway

Over the holiday weekend the Mrs & I took a little trip which included part of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Riding through West Virginia & Virginia always makes me glad I live where I do.

Long Cold One

NOT a Tall Cold One. But this winter was a long cold one, and I have been dealing with the loss of a good friend. But I think I am slowly comming back. This blog was set up to share fellowship and the joy of life. And I think my friend would want us to move foward, not forgetting him, but bringing a little bit of him with us.

A trip to Moriane State Park in PA brought out the friendship in all of us.

Sad Day

A very good friend of mine passed away a few days ago. I have been very sad, I try to keep busy, so I dont dwell to long at anyone time on the fact he is gone.
My Uncle & friend has gone to help God.
His whole life, he was always helping someone.
So I am sure God has the best helper he has seen in a long time.
He will be missed more than he could ever know.
I can still remember when he went with me to see his mother, my grandmother to say goodby, when she was ill and did not have much time left.
I was scared, he was strong; I was over whelmed, he showed his love.
I learned more from him that night about true strength & love then ever before.
I will always have what he has taught me.

If everyone had an "Uncle Del" in their life the world would be a better place.

New Jackets?

Keith & Dee are sporting their new Goldwing Jackets, as we head for a November Indian Summer Ride. We couldn't go very far, as the sun sets around 5:15pm, and in this part on the country the dear come out arter dark making for a very tense ride.
You know if we didn't have to work, we could ride more, but then how would we pay for it.
